- The USS Enterprise (CVN-65) is a US Navy aircraft carrier built between 1958 and 1961 and served for more than 50 years from 1961 to 2012, a real record for the longevity of this type of ship.
- The Enterprise had a crew of approximately 4,600 members and, thanks to its eight Westinghouse nuclear reactors, had unlimited range and an autonomy of 20 to 25 years, limited only by crew supplies.
