- The MiG-29 fighter model, developed and manufactured by the Mikoyan Design Bureau, is a twin-engine medium fighter and is also the first model in the history of the former Soviet Union to be defined as a fourth-generation fighter from the perspective of the Air Force. Its design philosophy and prototype first flew on March 6 October 1977. In 1982, the MiG-29 entered serial production at the Moscow and Gorky Aircraft Plant and began equipping troops in 1983. Designed with a lifting body fuselage and square wing fusion The MiG-29 features two under-axis engines with adjustable air intakes, a fuselage structure that can withstand sustained 9G overloads, a pulse-Doppler radar and a comprehensive fire control and electronic warfare system that is also armed with no less than six air rifles - air rockets and a cannon.
