B-1 Lancer, a long-range, variable-sweep-wing, supersonic-speed heavy strategic bomber used by the United States Air Force during the late Cold War. It was developed in the 1970s, made its first flight in 1974 and entered service in 1985. This model features retractable landing gear, movable wing boxes and wingtip flaps, an opening cargo compartment door, upper and lower access ramps, an elegant exterior and dynamic features such as movable spoilers and retractable wings.
