• The MOC-75987 1/25 Hubble Space Telescope is designed and licensed by MOC DESIGN and compatible with 92176. Dimensions: 53.1 x 40.3 x 48.5 cm, 20.9 x 15.9 x 19.1 in.
  
• The Hubble Space Telescope is a space telescope jointly developed by the United States and named after astronomer Edwin Hubble. It works in the range of the electromagnetic spectrum from the infrared range through the visible light to the ultraviolet range. The mirror diameter is 2.4 meters.
• The HST was launched on April 24, 1990 on Space Shuttle mission STS-31 and released from Discovery's hold the next day. It was the first of four space telescopes planned by NASA as part of the Great Observatory program.
  The other three space telescopes are the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory, the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, and the Spitzer Space Telescope.
  
• The Hubble Space Telescope was created primarily to circumvent the limitations imposed by the Earth's atmosphere. The molecules in the atmosphere limit the resolution of telescopes on the earth's surface, and various spectral ranges are blocked. The space telescope should achieve an unprecedented resolution. The mission objectives are therefore very broad and include practically all essential objects and phenomena of the universe.
